Southampton Food Summit 2026

Thursday 14 May 2026
10:00 to 13:00

We warmly invite you to join a citywide summit, “Feeding Our City: Working Together”, that brings together people and organisations shaping the future of food in Southampton across health, business, community and sustainability.
The Summit is being hosted by the Southampton Food Partnership (SFP), in collaboration with the University of Southampton and Southampton City Council. It comes at a crucial time, with 2026 marking the start of devolution and the creation of a new regional strategic authority, presenting a real opportunity to ensure food is firmly embedded in regional priorities. Please see our recent briefing on the SFP's first year.
Why you should attend
Whether you are a business, a funder, a school, a faith organisation, a social enterprise, or a community group, this event is designed to offer genuine value:
  • Positive Publicity: Represent your commitment to the community and local food culture, and your leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability.
  • A Seat at the Table: Ensure your organisation’s voice is heard where it matters as we develop a long-term food strategy.
  • New Connections: Meet potential new suppliers, partners, and collaborators across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight region, and meet local government leaders like Darren Paffey MP.
  • Contribute your expertise and gain new insight: Participate in interactive discussions on sustainability, food security, food business innovation, and the local food economy.
  • Align with a growing movement: Join organisations across the city working collectively for a healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable Southampton.
