Join our kidical mass Glow Ride - all welcome!
(If you can help marshal please arrive at 3pm, or at 2pm to ride the route).
3.15pm meet up at Guildhall Sq for a 3.30pm briefing, then depart. We'll be joined for the first time by Southampton's children's mayor!
Join an eclectic mix of riders on this family friendly (fully marshalled) cruise around the city centre, including through the parks, where we aim to have fun and draw attention to the value that cycling can bring, especially to getting about with kids!
The Glow Ride is a special event, where you can bling your bike with as many lights as you want. Go crazy and really light yourself up (or just ride your regular bike and enjoy the glow ride vibes).
After the event enjoy the rides and social atmosphere in Guildhall Square. We'll probably grab a beverage after, so plan to hang out with other likeminded souls.
A few practicalities - whilst the route is short (1-2 miles), all riders need to be able to ride independently as we will be using the public roads. Little riders need to be able to pedal without stabilisers. Passengers in trailers, bike seats, cargo bikes etc are of course very welcome. If you or a family member would like to take part but can’t ride independently, please do contact us as we have a number of riders within the local cargo bike community who may be able to assist.
