SoCAN: Southampton Climate Action Network

Join us for an informal drop in to connect with others around climate and nature action in Southampton. All welcome, No need to book. Bring a contribution to our shared food table (vegetarian and vegan please) if you would like.

At 7pm everyone will have the chance to give a very short shout out about any activities that they are involved with.

This is also a drop-in for this evolving exhibition. 

Generations of Regeneration is a project exploring the connections between Southampton’s communities and universities, with a focus on climate, nature and sustainability. We are using the word Regeneration in the title of the project as we want to seed the idea that what we are aiming for is a REGENERATIVE world, one where we are putting something back, not solely sustaining what we currently have. 

During the course of the exhibition and the events, we will look over past and current collaborative projects. This could be a research project, an informal collaboration between students and community groups or any other means by which university people have worked with people in the Southampton community. 

This evolving exhibition at October Books, will start with an opening event the day after Earth Day on the 23rd April and finish on early June 2025. We are looking for community members and university people who have been involved in collaborative projects and would like to share their learning. Together we will reflect on what has led to strong collaboration, change and positive impact for the benefit of future projects.

This project is a collaboration between The Southampton Collective, Southampton Climate Action Network and The Sustainability and Resilience Institute at The University of Southampton
