Green Social Prescribing Impact Showcase

Thursday 23 May 2024
10:00 to 12:30

On behalf of the Green Social Prescribing Project Team, you are cordially invited to the showcase and celebration of our Green Social Prescribing Project Collaborators: City Farm, Community Roots, Drawing on the Outside and Mayfield Garden Centre/Plants for People.

This event will take place at Building 135 in Southampton Guildhall Square (formerly the Sir James Matthews Building) on Thursday 23rd May with arrivals from 10:00am, closing at 12:30pm.

The event highlights the work of these VCSE organisations in developing how they evaluate and capture the impact of their green social prescribing interventions and programmes. Each of the four groups have been supported by a researcher in residence, to further inform best practice and advocacy.

The collaborators will present their tools and findings, with time for sharing, discussion and networking. With planned attendance by the Lord Mayor of Southampton and partners, Southampton Voluntary Services and the Public Engagement with Research unit (University of Southampton), it promises to be a great event for anyone interested in improving wellbeing through engagement with nature.
