SoCAN: Southampton Climate Action Network

For representatives of green groups and "Friends of" groups in the City: 

The Southampton Green Network holds meetings every 2 months where participants from the SCC, local gardening organisations, various gardening groups and environmental experts share their updates and hear from a guest speaker at each meeting.

Date: 19th January 2024

Time: 9.30 to 12.00 (plus optional walk)

Venue: Sholing Valley Study Centre, Station Road, Southampton SO19 8FP  

There is a Bluestar 19 bus stop right outside the Centre and attendees can park in the car park or on Station Road.  Walking or cycling is always recommended.

9.30 Arrival of guests.  A hot drink will be served

9.45 Welcome Speech by Alex Ivancevic from SVS/So: Linked, Duncan Reede from Plants 4 People and Colin from Sholing Valleys Study Centre (housekeeping)

10.00 Around the Room Short Updates (1-2 minutes each, time for networking later)

11.00 Talk about the Sholing Valley Study Centre

11.15 Break with a hot drink and time for you to network with other attendees.

12.00 Optional walk around the Millers Pond Nature Reserve.
