Doughnut Economics

Can Doughnut Economics future-proof Southampton?

Saturday 08 July 2023
10:00 to 15:00

A participative workshop introducing Doughnut Economics, helping us think about how Southampton can thrive within planetary boundaries. Organised by SoCAN - Southampton Climate Action Network.

The Doughnut offers a vision and a way of thinking about how we can thrive and flourish whilst also staying within ecological boundaries. This workshop will give you an opportunity to understand how the model works and how we can use it to create a safe and just space for humanity and the planet.

Find out more here: About Doughnut Economics | DEAL - watch the video and explore the site. Then join us to look at how we could put Doughnut Economics into practice in Southampton.

This will be a participative workshop, with a case study of a local business that is operating within the Doughnut, and opportunities to develop your own ideas for action.

We’re really excited about working with you and introducing this new way of looking at economics and thriving in the city.
